On the tenth day of Christmas, my healthy habit is...."To try one fruit or vegetable, I have never tried before!" God has created a rainbow of fruits and vegetables and most of us stick to apples, oranges, and peas and carrots! Vow to try a papaya, avocado or spaghetti squash and experience a new part of God's wonderful world! "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for yu, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2

On the ninth day of Christmas, my healthy habit is...."Realize that my relationship with Christ provides the power I need to overcome the world and all it's temptations (including food.") "And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world's corruption caused by human desires." 2 Peter 1:4

On the eighth day of Christmas, my healthy habit is...."To eat fruits and vegetables at every meal!" Did you know that the recommended daily intake for fruits and vegetables is 8-13!! Most of us are barely getting 3-5....Just implementing this one healthy habit could radically change our road to weight loss! "Commit your actions to the Lord and your plans will succeed." Proverbs 16:3

On the seventh day of Christmas, my healthy habit is..."Focus on my accomplishments everyday, not my mistakes!" Break the habit of guilt and shame (yes it is an habitual way of thinking) by focusing on what you are doing right, not wrong! So what if you ate the cookie last night, today is a new day and you just ate a wonderfully healthy breakfast. Let that motivate you for the day! "So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine." 1 Peter 1:6-7

On the sixth day of Christmas, my healthy habit is...."Drink my water (64oz.) everyday." I can't think of a more inexpensive healthy habit for sure...Yes, I do drink 64 oz of "tap" water everyday, and can honestly say water has made a difference for me! For some it's a difficult habit to implement for sure, but just listen what God has to say about that! "No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening-it's painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way." Hebrews 12:11

On the fifth day of Christmas my healthy habit is..."To pray about my weight loss/health and wellness journey everyday." God wants me to seek Him in every aspect of my life including weight loss. His word is sprinkled with promises of what He will do when I seek Him. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and He will keep your pathway straight." Matthew 6:33 "Seek His will in all you do and He will keep your paths straight." May you be blessed with a straight path when you seek God's will today!

On the fourth day of Christmas, my healthy habit is...."To stay on track even on the weekends!" If we are to make this journey part of who we are for life, the weekends count, so make the most of them by planning ahead and staying focused! "Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don't get sidetracked; keep your feet from doing evil." Proverbs 4:25-27

On the third day of Christmas my healthy habit is... "Write down everything I eat everyday!" People who journal their food, lose twice as much weight as those who do not! It's no secret that journaling can be a difficult habit to implement, but it works, so try it. "No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening-it's painful. But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way." Hebrews 12:11
